JARRELL MILLER is lining up a return to action next month after completing his ban for failing two drugs tests.
Miller was hit with a six-month suspension after testing positive for banned substances as he prepared to challenge Anthony Joshua for his world titles in June.
“Big Baby” Miller’s failed tests led to Andy Ruiz Jr being drafted in as a late replacement for Joshua’s debut in America – and he went on to pull off a stunning upset by knocking the Brit out to claim the IBF, WBA and WBO world heavyweight titles.
Now Miller, 31, is busy trying to get in shape for a comeback once his ban is completed, with Tyson Fury admitting he is open to fighting the American in the not-too-distant future.
Miller’s co-promoter Greg Cohen said: “The plan is to get him a licence and return to the ring hopefully in October.
“Look, we could’ve played (loose) with the rules, take ‘Big Baby’ to another country where the suspension wouldn’t be recognised and have kept him active.
“But we want to show that we—and especially he—takes this very seriously and fully intend to go through the proper channels to resume his boxing career.
IN SHAPE
“Jarrell has kept in shape, ready to return.
“If we tell him he’s got a fight in October, he will expect another one to come in December.”
After so long out, Miller is likely to be handed a routine fight to shake off the ring rust before he resumes his efforts to be crowned world champion.
That could see him take the step back up to elite level in a second fight at the end of the year – with British star Fury a potential opponent.
The Gypsy King is back in action next weekend when he takes on Otto Wallin as he looks to continue applying pressure on Deontay Wilder for a rematch.
Wilder looks to be trying to avoid getting back in the ring with Fury until next year.

That means Fury, 31, is likely to need another bout in December to keep him ticking over and Miller could be a decent opponent to satisfy his ESPN paymasters.
He said: “I’m looking at opponents, ESPN want an American opponent that is well known.
“I suggested Jarrell Miller. He’s well known, he’s unbeaten and was highly ranked.”
