JARRELL MILLER looked as though he knew he had missed his golden opportunity to be a world champion after Anthony Joshua’s shock defeat.

Joshua saw his reign as heavyweight champion come to a crashing end as he was beaten by 25-1 shot Andy Ruiz Jr in New York.

The result was one of the biggest upsets in the history of the sport as Ruiz defied all the experts to stop the champion in seven rounds.

But the Mexican was only fighting Joshua because American Miller had failed a drugs test in the build-up to the clash at Madison Square Garden.

And in a social media video in the hours after the upset, Miller gave an indication of just what he was thinking.

The 30-year-old from New York stared straight down the camera for 40 seconds without saying a word – stunned by what he had witnessed.

And as he scratched his head and rolled his eyes, it was impossible not to take away the impression Miller knew it should have been him shocking the world, not Ruiz.

The fighter, nicknamed Big Baby, is now having to rebuild his career having tested positive for three banned substances earlier this year, while he was training to take on Joshua.

His subsequent ban meant the British fighter was left scratching around looking for someone else worthy of challenging for his four world titles.

In the end they settled on the largely unfancied Ruiz, who was having trouble convincing experts he was the real deal despite an impressive record because of his overweight appearance.

But he proved it in style when his big chance came along, flooring Joshua four times on the way to claiming the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO titles.
