ANTHONY JOSHUA has revealed he was “looking forward to punishing” Jarrell Miller before the American failed three drugs tests.

The positive tests meant the 30-year-old Brooklyn fighter saw his WBA, IBF and WBO unified heavyweight title fight against Brit champion Joshua, 29, on June 1 cancelled.

Instead AJ will defend his trio of belts against Mexican-American Andy Ruiz Jr on his US debut at New York’s hallowed Madison Square Garden.

Despite the disgraceful cheating Joshua, 29, told IFL TV he would have had “no issue” fighting the 315lbs drug cheat – believing the American still could not beat him even on PEDs.

Joshua said: “I would’ve fought Miller on PEDs – because it’s a fight at the end of the day.

“What Miller chooses to do or the governing bodies chooses is nothing to do with me, as long as I can crack on and do my job.

“I don’t think he can beat me on PEDs anyway, it would’ve been a good fight, it would’ve been a tough fight.

“Because when I was sparring I had some physical big guys weighing about 300lbs, they’re good on the inside, they’re heavy, you can’t move them.

“I was looking forward to punishing him.”

Miller was handed a measly six month suspension from the WBA which eliminates him from competing in any of their sanctioned bouts.

Yet the American has still not been stripped of his boxing licence – though Miller has since conceded he “messed up” in a social media post.
